Shannon Murphy, LSW

I help adults move from surviving to thriving. I create a safe space and supportive relationship where clients can gain a better understanding of behaviors that developed to protect/help them previously, but could be hindering them now. I help empower clients to utilize their strengths or put new tools in their emotional toolbelt to overcome challenging chapters in life. I focus on working with adult individuals struggling with trauma (including PTSD and complex PTSD), depression, anxiety, relationship issues, stress, and substance use disorders. I aim to help clients better understand the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and actions, and empower them to harness that connection to reach their goals in a way that fits their unique personality, situation, and priorities. I utilize a collaborative approach with clients to ensure our work together fits them as individuals, recognizing they are the expert of their own experience and path forward.

I am trained in various modalities of therapy, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), brainspotting, and solutions-focused therapy.
