What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is an emotion characterized by excessive worry that can be overwhelming and can interfere with a personís daily functioning. A person living with anxiety can be in a constant state of worry, fear and dread; and often have worry that is unrealistic or out of proportion for the situation.† People with anxiety disorders will usually have recurring thoughts of worry or concern and may avoid certain situations out of worry.

 Restlessness or a feeling of being edgy
