What is Medication Assisted Therapy?

Medication Assisted Therapy is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a whole-patient approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. These medications are not cures for addictions or substance abuse but rather discourages the behavior.

What is Antabuse?

Antabuse is a medication used to treat an alcohol addiction. This medication causes unpleasant effects when any alcohol is consumed.

What is Suboxone?

Suboxone is a medication to treat an opiate dependence. This medication works to reduce the symptoms of opiate dependence.

What is Chantix?

Chantix is a medication to help people stop smoking. This medication blocks the pleasant effects of nicotine (from smoking) on the brain.
